As a business with a radically different ethos from the ‘building norm’, we’re proud to be sponsors of the Soil Association. Whilst the connection may seem rather tenuous, we share many core values with those of the Soil Association. It was natural therefore that we show them some support.

Founded in 2008, Nutshell was formed as a result of a family effort to build a sustainable green oak home. Since then, sustainability has become something that we strive to achieve in each of our projects. This is just one of our affinity with the Soil Association, who are equally committed to sustainability and making a positive impact on the world around us.

As a true Sussex company and one that is proud of it’s heritage and local environment, we share the Soil Association’s values. Coincidentally, our directors are all members of one of Sussex’s oldest families, small wonder then that we are proud of the county’s history and heritage and are always looking for ways to support and become involved in our local community.

Our pride in our Sussex roots also means we are committed to doing what we can to help preserve the Sussex countryside and natural environment. On top of our sustainable practices, we strive to keep each and every project in keeping with its surroundings, creating spaces and places that are in harmony with the immediate area.

To sum up our involvement with the Soil Association, director Ben Copper comments, “Nutshell are delighted to partner with the Soil Association, and are proud to be allied to everything they stand for. Like the Soil Association, we strongly believe in sustainability and preserving the beauty of our countryside and to support local agriculture for years to come.”

We’re always delighted to hear from you. If you’ve got a big idea or would like to know more about our green commitments, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
